I sent this card to my first cardmaker friend, Mari. She lives in Texas although she and her family are from Mexico. When I decided to create this card, I was pretty sure that I wanted a culture mix - Mexican and Texan cultures together, without boundaries. For this post, I used the My Monthly Hero kit April 2018 (available), the Cowboy Life Stamp Set and On The Prairie Fancy Dies. I also used the WRMK Marker Airbrush.
Para esta publicación, utilicé el kit My Monthly Hero kit de Abril 2018 (disponible), el set de sellos Cowboy Life Stamp Set y el set de troqueles On The Prairie Fancy Dies. También utilicé el aerógrafo para rotuladores de WRMK.
First, I picked a 4,25 by a 5,5-inch piece of gray cardstock that I already had in my stash. I stamped a cake with Soft Granite ink, using an acrylic stamp block. This cake is from the MMH kit from April 2018. I just stamped this cake here and there. I also gave a little color to the background with a yellow alcohol marker, creating some stains on the background. I also added some shine to the cakes from the background with NUVO Midas Touch.
Primero, escogí una pieza de cartulina gris que tenía entre mis materiales de medida 4,25 por 5,5 pulgadas. Estampé una tarta con la tinta Soft Granite ink, utilizando un bloque de acrílico. Esta tarta es del kit MMH del mes de abril 2018. Simplemente estampé esta tarta aquí y allá. Le dí un poco de color al fondo también, con un rotulador de alcohol amarillo, creando algunas manchas en el fondo. Además añadí brillo a las tartas con el NUVO Midas Touch.
Later, I die cut the decorative frame that also came with the MMH kit April 2018 on Pitch Black Premium Cardstock and glued on top of the previous background that I'd created. I used the Sizzix Standard Big Shot to die cut all the images for this card.
Más tarde troquelé un marco decorativo que también venía con el kit MMH de abril 18 sobre cartulina negra (Pitch Black cardstock) y que pegué sobre el fondo previo que había creado. Utilicé la troqueladora Big Shot para realizar todos los troquelados para esta tarjeta.
Then, I die cut the Texas longhorn from the die set On The Prairie Fancy Dies on Dove Cardstock. For coloring the pieces, I used the WRMK Marker Airbrush with Copic Markers. The head of this longhorn is colored with E31 and E79, the horns are colored with Y08, Y11, and Y19. Finally, the eyes and the nose are colored with Y19. I also die cut some flowers and colored them with Copic Markers but in a simple way - R43, RV02, BV08, BV11, BV13, G05, G14
I decided to add a hat to this cattle, so I stamped the cowboy hat from the Cowboy Life Stamp Set with Wet Cement ink and colored some brown colors - W4 and W7.
Entonces troquelé la vaca texana de cuernos largos del set de troqueles On The Prairie Fancy Dies sobre cartulina blanca (Dove Cardstock). Para colorear las piezas, utilicé el aerógrafo para rotuladores con los Rotuladores Copic. Coloreé la cabeza de este tipo de vaca con E31 y E79, los cuernos con Y08, Y11, y Y19 . Finalmente, los ojos y la nariz los coloreé con Y19. También troquelé algunas flores y las coloreé con Rotuladores Copic de una manera sencilla - R43, RV02, BV08, BV11, BV13, G05, G14.
Decidí añadir un sombrero a este cornilargo, así que estampé este sombrero de cowboy del set de sellos Cowboy Life Stamp Set con la tinta Wet Cement y coloreé en tonos marrones - W4 y W7.
I glued the longhorn to the center of the card with a piece of black foam behind. Then, I added the cowboy hat and the flowers to its head. I also added a yellow star on its head.
Pegué la vaca texana en el centro de la tarjeta con una pieza de goma eva o foamy negro en la parte trasera. Luego, añadí el sombrero de cowboy y las flores en su cabeza. Además añadí una estrellita en su cabeza.
I used Pitch Black cardstock for stamping the sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Pink Embossing Powder and cut it in strips. I added the sentiment at the bottom of the card.
Utilicé cartulina negra para estampar la frase con la tinta Versamark Ink y la repujé (realicé embossing) con Polvos de Embossing Rosa y la recorté en tiras. Añadí la frase en la parte inferior de la tarjeta.
For some details, I added gold glitter to the yellow star, to the flowers, and to the eyes. Finally, I added some gold glitter dots and NUVO drops (English Mustard and Bubblegum Blush) to the center of the flowers from the intricate border die on the background.
Para los detalles, añadí purpurina dorada a la estrella amarilla, a las flores, y a los ojos. Finalmente, añadí puntos dorados y NUVO drops (English Mustard y Bubblegum Blush) en el centro de las flores del marco decorativo del fondo.
