Texture on Cards with White Splashes | Textura en Tarjetas con Manchas Blancas

Hello, my crafty friends,

These cards are very easy to make as we have used the masking technique to create the background with a rainbow using Distress Oxide inks. To make these cards, we have been inspired by St. Patrick's Day, hence we have used shamrocks and a rainbow. Therefore, we added the shamrocks on top of the rainbow, and then heat embossed the phrase wishing the recipient good luck. However, white splashes made with paint and water were added to give continuity between the rainbow and the background, as the contrast was too sharp.

Estas tarjetas son muy fáciles de hacer ya que hemos utilizado la técnica de enmascarado para crear el fondo con un arcoiris tintando con las tintas Distress Oxide. Para hacer estas tarjetas, nos hemos inspirado en el Día de San Patricio, de ahí a que hemos puesto tréboles y un arcoiris. Por lo tanto, añadimos los tréboles sobre el arcoiris, para, luego, estampar la frase con el embosado en caliente deseando buena suerte a la persona que reciba. No obstante, se les añadió salpicaduras blancas hechas con pintura y agua para que hubiera una continuidad en entre el arcoiris y el fondo, ya que el contraste estaba demasiado definido.

For this card, we used Distress Oxide inks to color the card, both the dark blue background (Chipped Sapphire) and the rainbow - Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet) and also applied a darker color for contrast - Aged Mahogany, Crackling Campfire, Spiced Marmalade, Pine Needles, Chipped Sapphire, Villainous Potion. However, the lines between the colors of the rainbow were a bit sharp and blurry, so we made it more precise by coloring a line between the colors with Karin Brushmarkers, according to the chosen color. When these dry with the Distress Oxide inks as a base they do not show through. In the end, it turned out very well.

Para esta tarjeta, utilizamos las tintas Distress Oxide para colorear la tarjeta, tanto el fondo en azul oscuro (Chipped Sapphire) como el arcoiris - Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet) y además, aplicamos un color más oscuro para dar más contraste - Aged Mahogany, Crackling Campfire, Spiced Mermalade, Pine Needles, Chipped Sapphire, Villainous Potion. No obstante, las líneas entre los colores del arcoiris quedaron poco definidos y un poco borroso, así que le dimos más precisión coloreando con una línea entre los colores con los rotuladores Brushmarkers de Karin, de acuerdo al color elegido. Estos cuando se secan con las tintas Distress Oxide como base no se notan. Finalmente ha quedado muy bien.
