Glimmer Foil and Stenciling | Glimmer Foil y Stencils o Máscaras

Hello crafty friends,

This week I created the background of a card with the Glimmer Hot Foil System and some coordinating stencils to color the background. Many card stores have launched designs for the Glimmer Hot Foil System that coordinate with stencils and dies to give a more professional touch to your cards and the truth is that the final result is very beautiful. You can see the Reel of this card HERE.

En esta semana he creado el fondo de una tarjeta con la Glimmer Hot Foil System y stencils (máscaras) coordinados para dar color al fondo.     To create the background for this card, the Layering Geometric Diamond Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Spellbinders has been used with their respective stencils. In addition, the foil 'Aura' which is a color with several reflections between gold and bronze that is quite elegant and bold as it is not a common color like gold or silver and on white cardboard captures very well the attention of the recipient. Once the foil was applied with the Glimmer Hot Foil System, each of the masks was applied with different colors. In this case, Distress Oxide inks were used with pink and gray tones - Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, and Lost Shadow.

    Para crear el fondo para esta tarjeta, se ha utilizado la placa para la Glimmer Hot llamada Layering Geometric Diamond Glimmer Hot Foil Plate con sus respectivas máscaras de Spellbinders. Además, el foil color 'Aura' que es un color con varios reflejos entre oro y bronce que es bastante elegante y atrevido ya que no es un color común como oro o plata y sobre cartulina blanca capta muy bien la atención de quien la recibe. Una vez aplicado el foil con la Glimmer Hot Foil System, se aplicaron cada una de las máscaras con diferentes colores. En este caso, se han utilizado las tintas Distress Oxide con tonos rosas y grises - Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, Lost Shadow. 

    The phrase for this card must match the background foil used, which is why I used the same one, Aura. Moreover, the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate was used on this card. However, the 'Happy Birthday' phrase didn't look right with the background, so colored leaves with Distress Oxide Antique Linen ink with hints of bronze were added behind the phrase to highlight it.

    La frase para esta tarjeta debe encajar con el foil del fondo utilizado, es por ello por lo que utilicé el mismo, Aura. Asimismo, se utilizaron las placas para la Glimmer, Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments. Sin embargo, la frase de "Happy Birthday" ("Feliz Cumpleaños") no quedaba bien con el fondo, así que se añadió unas hojas coloreadas con la tinta Distress Oxide Antique Linen con toques de color bronce que se añadieron detrás de la frase para resaltarla. 

    To finish this card, the leaves of the embellishment below the phrase were filled with Glossy Accents (transparent glue), and some clear embellishments were added to the card.

    Para acabar esta tarjeta, se rellenó las hojas con Glossy Accents (relieve transparente) del adorno debajo de la frase y, algunas adornos transparentes. 

    In the last few weeks, I have been getting familiar with the Glimmer Hot. To be honest it is a foil application machine that gives a different touch to the cards, a more professional touch. So, if you have been making cards for a while and think you want to try something new and make cards in a more thorough way, this machine is an option, a new toy for your cards and creations that will not disappoint you.

Para ser honesta es una máquina para la aplicación de foil que da un toque diferente a las tarjetas, un toque más profesional. Por lo tanto, si ya llevas tiempo creando tarjetas y piensas que quieres probar algo nuevo, y hacer tarjetas de una manera más minuciosa, esta máquina es una opción, un nuevo juguete para tus tarjetas y creaciones que no te defraudará.
