Combine Products for a Halloween Card | Combinar Productos para una Tarjeta de Halloween

Hello artists, 

Halloween is just around the corner. So I want to show you this card that I created by combining some Spellbinders products that I received with the Influencers Program. Some of these products are not designed to be combined with these other products, but creativity is endless, so I decided to create a card with these. Ya falta poco para la noche de Halloween. que quiero mostrarles esta tarjeta que creé combinando algunos productos de Spellbinders y que recibí con el Programa de Influencers. Algunos de estos productos no están diseñados para combinarlos con estos otros productos, pero la creatividad es infinita, así que decidí crear una tarjeta con estos. Cards are small works of art, easy and quick to make, as long as you choose the right coloring medium that doesn't require too much technique and time. That's why I used Karin Markers watercolor markers to color the die-cut pieces from the different die sets chosen (Build-A-Wreath Etched Dies by Suzanne Hue, Garden Wreath Add-Ons Etched Dies by Suzanne Hue, Gnome Drive Halloween Etched Dies and Fall Sampler Dies). However, the combination of products makes the card more detailed, just by choosing the pieces needed for the theme, in this case, Halloween, which makes the card eye-catching and catches the eye of the recipient.

Las tarjetas son pequeñas obras de arte, fáciles y rápidas de hacer, siempre y cuando se elija el medio para colorear adecuado, que no te exija demasiada técnica y tiempo. Es por ello por lo que utilicé los rotuladores acuarelables de Karin Markers para colorear las piezas troqueladas de los diferentes sets de troqueles escogidos (Build-A-Wreath Etched Dies by Suzanne Hue, Garden Wreath Add-Ons Etched Dies by Suzanne Hue, Gnome Drive Halloween Etched Dies and Fall Sampler Dies). No obstante, la combinación de productos hace que la tarjeta tenga más detalles, solo escogiendo las piezas necesarias para el tema, en este caso, de Halloween, que hacen que la tarjeta sea llamativa y capta la vista de quien la recibe. 

The colors used are those common for Halloween, black, grey, orange, and purple tones. By coloring the pieces with dark tones (except for the orange pumpkin and the purple bow), the background needed to have a vibrant tone, so the Distress Oxide - Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion inks were combined, leaving the white center to add the phrase with a black background. For this reason, the focus of the colors is quite relevant in order to catch the attention. For the chosen colors, the main focus of attention is the pumpkin as it is a warm color predominant over the others, black (neutral color) and violet (cold color).

Los colores utilizados son aquellos comunes para Halloween, tonos negros, grises, naranjas y morados. Al colorear las piezas con tonalidades oscuras (excepto la calabaza naranja y el lazo morado), se necesitaba que el fondo tuviera un tono vibrante, por lo que se combinaron las tintas Distress Oxide - Wilted Violet y Villainous Potion, dejando el centro blanco para añadir la frase con fondo negro. Por esta razón, la atención de los colores es bastante relevante para poder captar la atención. Por los colores elegidos, el foco de atención principal es la calabaza ya que es de un color cálido predominante ante los demás, negro (color neutro) y violeta (color frío). 

Likewise, the phrase on a card plays an important role as it is the main message you want to convey to the recipient. It should be one of the main elements that stands out, although it does not have to be the first. For this reason, the phrase was embossed with white embossing powder on black cardboard. However, we have the elements as differentiated (the main ones, the phrase, and the secondary ones), so it is necessary to join them together, in this way, giving touches of white color to the images, making each element form part of a whole, fitting the colored die-cut pieces with the background of the card, especially the central part that we left uncolored so that the phrase would stand out.

Asimismo, la frase en una tarjeta, juega un papel importante ya que es el mensaje principal que se desea transmitir al receptor. Debe ser uno de los elementos principales que destaquen, aunque no tiene por qué ser el primero. Por esta razón, se embozó la frase con polvos de embossing blancos sobre cartulina negra. Sin embargo, tenemos los elementos como diferenciados (los principales, la frase y los secundarios), así que es necesario aunarlos, de esta manera, dar toques de color blanco a las imágenes, hacen que cada elemento forme parte de un todo, encajando las piezas troqueladas coloreadas con el fondo de la tarjeta, sobretodo la parte central que dejamos sin colorear para que la frase destacara.
