Hello there! It's me, Cha! About a month ago, I saw a gorgeous card on Instagram. That card was created by Debi Adams and you can see the card on HERE. I'm a big fan of her cards! I changed a little bit the process because Debi used two pieces of colored cardstock but I preferred to mask and color the piece. The technique that Debi showed to us is how to dry emboss a die-cut image through design. Debi created a beautiful Christmas card with new Hero Arts products but, I created a card for Valentine's Day, using the same technique. Let's see!
¡Hola a todos! Soy Cha. Hace un mes vi una preciosa tarjeta en Instagram. Esta tarjeta fue creada por Debi Adams y puedes ver la tarjeta AQUÍ. ¡Soy una gran fan de sus tarjetas! Cambié un poco el proceso porque Debi utilizó dos trozos de cartulina coloreada pero preferí enmascarar y colorear la pieza. La técnica que Debi nos enseñó era como repujar en seco una imagen troquelada a través de un diseño. Debi creó una bonita tarjeta para navidad con nuevos productos de Hero Arts, pero, en mi caso, creé una tarjeta para San Valentín utilizando la misma técnica. ¡Comencemos!
primero, utilicé el troquel de Hero Arts Window On Love Confetti Fancy Die para troquelar un trozo de papel de enmascarar, utilizando la Máquina de troquelado Big Shot. Puse el trozo troquelado de papel de enmascarar sobre una cartulina blanca de 4,25 por 5,5 pulgadas para mezclar algunos colores. Utilicé un Aplicador de Tintas, dí color con algunas tintas Distress Oxide Inks - Fired Brick y Candied Apple. Aquí viene la magia que Debi hizo. Posicioné el troquel metálico nuevamente sobre la tarjeta, alineando cada corazón. Pegué temporalmente el troquel de metal que utilicé y la tarjeta. Utilicé la plataforma 1 de la troqueladora. Primero, coloqué una de las bases de corte sobre la plataforma, luego añadí una almohadilla para repujado (o embossing), añadí la pieza con el troquel metálico y la tarjeta y, finalmente, añadí la otra base de corte. El troquel de metal tiene que estar hacia arriba para crear este tipo de impresión. Si quisiera más relieve, la única cosa que necesitarías hacer es pasar la tarjeta a través de la troqueladora varias veces. Yo la pasé varias veces hasta que estuve contenta con el resultado.
As you can see, the rest of the card is too simple. I die cut some pieces with the metal die "hugs" on white cardstock and gold cardstock. This die comes in the My Monthly Hero kit February 2018 (Love this kit!) which is still available although you can use another one that you already have. I also used the stamp with the phrase "i love you" that came with another kit which is not available anymore but you can look for other stamps with phrases that you can use. I stamped this phrase with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Glitter Gold Embossing Powder. I cut around the phrase by hand.
Como puedes ver, el resto de la tarjeta es bastante simple. Troquelé algunas piezas con el troquel metálico "hugs" ("abrazos") sobre cartulina blanca y cartulina dorada. Este troquel vino con el kit My Monthly Hero de Febrero 2018 (¡Me encanta!) que todavía está disponible aunque pueden utilizar algún otro que ya tengan. También utilicé el sello con la frase "i love you" ("te quiero") que vino con otro kit que ya no está disponible pero hay muchos sets con frases que pueden servir. Estampé esta frase con la tinta Versamark Ink y repujé con la pistola de calor con los Polvos de Embossing Gold Glitter. Recorté alrededor de la frase a mano.
To finish this card, I added the background on a card base. I stuck three white "hugs" and, on top, I adhered the gold one. I attached the entire piece in the center of the card and glued the phrase underneath with some foam tape. Finally, I added some gold shimmer to some hearts from the background and I added some hearts and iridescent sequins here and there to the background.
Para finalizar esta tarjeta, añadí el fondo sobre una tarjeta base. Pegué conjuntamente tres "hugs" de color blanco, y sobre ellos, adherí el de la cartulina dorada. Pegué le pieza completa en el centro de la tarjeta pegué la frase justo debajo con adhesivo de espuma. Finalmente, añadí algo de brillo dorado a algunos corazones del fondo y añadí algunos corazones y lentejuelas iridescentes aquí y allí sobre el fondo.

For the USA, I highly recommend the Wagner heat tool from Hero Arts. I cannot use this tool because I live outside of the States and this tool cannot be used internationally due to the electrician requirements that are not the same for all the continents. No possible for use with outlet adapters neither.
I use Artemio heat gun (available in Europe only).
Para América, recomiendo la pistola de embossing de Hero Arts - Wagner. No puedo utilizar esta herramienta porque vivo fuera de los EEUU y es incompatible debido a los requisitos eléctricos que no son iguales para todos los continentes. Tampoco es posible utilizarse con un adaptador.
Utilizo la pistola de calor de Artemio (disponible solo para Europa)
