Christmas wreaths are quite common at this time of year and creating them on cards is not to be outdone. This card is quite easy to make although you would need a
fine and precise glue applicator bottle to be able to glue all those fine dies of branches and flowers to create your Christmas wreath. Another alternative to the glue applicator bottle is the new
glue applicator from My Sweet Petunia which comes with a very fine nozzle that makes it very easy to apply.

Las coronas navideñas son bastante comunes en esta época y no iba a ser menos crearlas en tarjetas. Esta tarjeta es bastante fácil de hacer aunque se necesitaría un bote aplicador de pegamento fino y preciso para poder pegar todos esos troqueles finos de ramas y flores para crear nuestra corona de Navidad. Otra alternativa al bote aplicador es el nuevo aplicador de pegamento de My Sweet Petunia que viene con una boquilla bastante fina lo que resulta muy fácil su aplicación.

With the
Spellbinders wreath die sets you can create different wreaths for different occasions, mixing with other sets you already have. In this case, we decided to use the base die set to make this wreath, the
Build-A-Wreath Etched Dies from The Beautiful Wreaths collection designed by Suzanne Hue. We also complemented this Christmas wreath with the
Garden Wreath Add-Ons Etched Dies and
Make it Merry Florals Etched Dies, the latter from the Make it Florals Christmas collection. How we love to combine products!
Con los sets de troqueles de coronas de flores de Spellbinders se pueden crear diferentes coronas para diferentes ocasiones, mezclando con otros sets que ya tengas. En este caso, nosotros nos hemos decidido por utilizar el set de troqueles base para hacer esta corona de flores, Build-A-Wreath Etched Dies de la colección The Beautiful Wreaths diseñada por Suzanne Hue. Asimismo, complementamos esta corona navideña con los sets de troqueles Garden Wreath Add-Ons Etched Dies y Make it Merry Florals Etched Dies, ésta última corresponde a la colección de navidad Make it Florals. ¡Qué nos encanta combinar productos!
For this card, we die-cut all the pieces on
watercolor cardstock as we will be using
Coliro's pearlescent watercolors, which are watercolors that give a touch of color to our die-cuts but are pearly and stunning. In addition,
these pearlescent watercolors can also be used on dark cardboard because of their pigmentation. In this case, we colored the pieces with red and green tones. Then, we added touches of gold so that there would be a balance of colors between the background and the pieces and it would not be too chaotic. The truth is that the most fun was assembling the card, that is, designing the card by gluing each of the pieces together. However, an easy-to-use glue applicator is needed otherwise it can be a tedious task when gluing each piece. The pieces could also be die-cut with
double-sided adhesive sheets to make it much easier to assemble the card.
Para esta tarjeta, troquelamos todas las piezas en cartulina para acuarelas ya que utilizaremos las acuarelas perladas de Coliro que son unas acuarelas que dan un toque de color a nuestros troqueles pero perladas y que son impresionantes. Además estas acuarelas perladas también pueden ser utilizadas en cartulina oscura por su pigmentación. En este caso, coloreamos las piezas con tonos rojos y verdes. Luego, le dimos toques dorados para que hubiera equilibrio de colores entre el fondo y las piezas y no quedara demasiado caótico. La verdad es que lo más divertido fue montar la tarjeta, es decir, diseñar la tarjeta pegando cada una de las piezas. Sin embargo, se necesita un aplicador de pegamento fácil de utilizar ya que si no puede ser una tarea tediosa cuando se pega cada pieza. También podrían troquelarse las piezas con hojas de adhesivo de doble cara para que sea mucho más fácil montar la tarjeta.
For the
background of this card, we used an embossing folder -
In the Pines Embossing Folder from Spellbinders and used the same watercolors (Coliro) with gold and silver tones keeping it simple so that each piece of the wreath would stand out from the background.
Para el fondo de esta tarjeta, utilizamos una carpeta de embossing - In the Pines Embossing Folder de Spellbinders, y utilizamos las mismas acuarelas (Coliro) con tonos dorados y plateados manteniéndolos de esta manera simple para que así cada pieza de la corona de flores destacara del fondo.
For the
sentiment on this card, the
Make it Merry Sentiments Etched Dies was used and colored with the moon gold pearlescent watercolor. This was added to the center of the Christmas wreath.
Para el sentimiento de esta tarjeta, se utilizó el set de troqueles Make it Merry Sentiments Etched Dies y que se coloreó con la acuarela perlada dorada - moon gold. Ésta se añadió al centro de la corona de Navidad.
We had a lot of fun making these cards, we made four similar cards but changed colors and used colored cardboard for the background. These cards will be published in the next few days. I hope you like them, thank you very much!
