To make this card, I decided to use some My Monthly Hero Kits from Hero Arts although there are some of these kits that are available, others do not. To start this card, I picked a piece of white cardstock, Neenah Solar White 110lb. I added a piece of masking tape in the middle of the card to limit the sea and the sky areas. I used Masking Paper to die-cut a circle from HA Circle Nesting Infinity Dies to create the sun. I colored the sky with some Distress Oxide inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, and Ripe Persimmon. I used a Blending Tool to mix the inks for this card. Besides, I removed the mask from the sun and added a little bit of Squeezed Lemonade to it.
Para comenzar esta tarjeta, eleg铆 un trozo de cartulina blanca, Neenah Solar White de 110lb (libras). A帽ad铆 un trozo de cinta de enmascarar en el medio de la tarjeta para limitar las 谩reas del mar y del cielo. Utilic茅 Papel de Enmascarar para troquelar un c铆rculo del Set de Troqueles HA Circle NEsting Infinity Dies para crear el sol. Colore茅 el cielo con algunas tintas Distress Oxide - Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, y Ripe Persimmon. Utilic茅 un Aplicador de Tinta para mezclar las tintas para esta tarjeta. Adem谩s, quit茅 la m谩scara del sol y a帽ad铆 un poquito de la tinta Squeezed Lemonade.
Later, I wanted to create the main image on this card, the rooftop of a house and a chimney. I used a My Monthly Hero kit which is not available anymore (MMH kit November 2019) but if you want to recreate the scene, you can use Masking Paper. I die-cut the house that came with the kit on Masking Paper and kept the two pieces, the positive and the negative. I placed the masking paper of the house, just the negative part, on the card and also masked the chimney so that I could color just the roof. I colored the rooftop blending some Distress Oxide inks - Candied Apple and Aged Mahonagy, also I added a little bit of Squeezed Lemonade as if the sun was reflecting on the roof of the house. Then, I used the positive masking piece to cover the roof and removed the masking piece from the chimney. So, I colored the chimney with Squeezed Lemonade, Tea Dye, and Rusty Hinge. I masked the chimney again and removed the mask from the bottom part of the house. I colored this part with Ground Espresso and Black Soot. I decided that I would heat embossed the sentiment on this part later.
M谩s tarde quise crear la imagen principal a esta tarjeta, el tejado de una casa y la chimenea. Utilic茅 uno de los kits de Hero Arts que no est谩 disponible (MMH kit Noviembre 2019) pero si quisieran recrear la escena, pueden usar simplemente Papel de Enmascarar. Troquel茅 la casa que ven铆a con este kit en Papel de Enmascarar y guard茅 los dos trozos, la parta positiva y la parte negativa. Posicion茅 la m谩scara de la casa, pero solo la parte negativa, y tambi茅n enmascar茅 la chimenea para as铆 colorear solo el tejado. Colore茅 el tejado mezclando algunas tintas Distress Oxide - Candied Apple y Aged Mahonagy, tambi茅n a帽ad铆 un poco de la tinta Squeezed Lemonade como si el sol estuviera reflejando a esta parte del tejado. Entonces, utilic茅 el trozo de enmascarar (parte positiva) para cubrir el tejado y quit茅 la m谩scara de la chimenea. As铆 que colore茅 la chimenea con las tintas Squeezed Lemonade, Tea Dye, y Rusty Hinge. Enmascar茅 la chimenea nuevamente y quit茅 la m谩scara de la parte inferior de la casa. Colore茅 esta parte con las tintas Ground Espresso y Black Soot. Decid铆 que repujar铆a la frase en esta parte de la casa m谩s tarde.
To color the sea, under the sky, and behind the house, also I masked every element of the house and the part of the sky. So I colored the sea with Distress Oxide inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, and Ripe Persimmon although I also added a little bit of Chipped Sapphire on the right side of the sea to darken some areas. As I wanted a more realistic ocean, I stamped some waves from the HA Color Layering Mountains at the Lake. These waves were stamped with HA Dandelion, HA Strawberry, and HA Tangerine. I used an acrylic block to stamp them.
Para colorear el mar, bajo el cielo y detr谩s de la casa, enmascar茅 cada elemento de la casa, tambi茅n enmascar茅 cada elemento de la casa y la parte del cielo. Colore茅 el mar con las tintas Distress Oxide inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, y Ripe Persimmon aunque tambi茅n a帽ad铆 un poco de la tinta Chipped Sapphire en la parte derecha del mar para oscurecer algunas partes. Como quer铆a un oc茅ano m谩s realista, estamp茅 algunas ondas del set de sellos HA Color Layering Mountains at the Lake. Estamp茅 estas ondas con las tintas HA Dandelion, HA Strawberry y HA Tangerine. Utilic茅 un bloque de acr铆lico para estamparlas.
To stamp the sentiment, I used the Mini MISTI Stamping tool to double stamp it. I first used an Anti-Static Powder Tool, then stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Yellow Embossing Powder.
Para estampar la frase, utilic茅 la Herramienta de Estampar Mini MISTI para estamparla doblemente. Primero utilic茅 una Herramienta Antiest谩tica de Polvo, luego estamp茅 la frase con Versamark ink y repuj茅 con los Polvos de Embossing de color amarillo.
I trimmed the sides of the panel a little and mounted it on a black folded card that I trimmed and scored myself. The cardstock that I used was HA Pitch Black Premium Cardstock. I used a Sponge Dauber to add some white pigment ink (HA White Unicorn Pigment ink) to color the smoke that is coming out from the chimney. Then, using Versafine Onyx Black ink, I stamped some images, a cat on the chimney and some birds flying upon the sky. Finally, I added some gold shimmer to the sun, the sky, the roof, and the cat.
Recort茅 los laterales de la tarjeta un poco y la mont茅 sobre una base de tarjeta negra que recort茅 y utilic茅 una tabla de hendido. La cartulina que utilic茅 fue la de HA Pitch Black Premium Cardstock. Utilic茅 un Tap贸n de Espuma para a帽adir un poco de tinta blanca de pigmento (HA White Unicorn Pigment ink) para colorear el humo que sale de la chimenea. Luego, utilizando la tinta Versafine Onyx Black ink, estamp茅 algunas im谩genes, un gato sobre la chimenea y algunos p谩jaros volando en el cielo. Finalemente, a帽ad铆 brillo dorado al sol, el cielo, el tejado y el gato.
