Hello there! It's me, Cha! Today I wanted to show you a card that I made using the My Monthly Hero kit January 2021. Unfortunately, this kit is unavailable anymore but you can find many stamps with bees on the market. You can know more about these kits HERE. I've also uploaded a video but, during the recording, something happened and I couldn't show the whole process. I hope you can understand reading this page.
¡Hola a todos! Soy Cha. Hoy quise enseñarles una tarjeta que hice utilizando el kit de Hero Arts (llamado My Monthly Hero kit) de Enero 2021. Este kit ya no está ni estará disponible pero pueden encontrar muchos sellos parecidos en cualquier tienda de manualidades. Si quieres saber más sobre estos kits AQUÍ. He subido un vídeo a mi canal de YouTube pero, durante la grabación, algo pasó y no pude mostrarle el proceso en su totalidad. Espero que puedan entenderlo completamente leyendo esta entrada de blog.
First of all, I created the background for this card. I used Neenah Solar White cardstock (80lb) and one of the stamps that came with the kit. As the stamp is simulating a honeycomb, I stamped this image on the entire cardstock with an acrylic block. Then, I colored this background with Copic Markers, just combining yellow tones - Y02, Y08, Y19, Y38.
Primero, creé el fondo para esta tarjeta. Utilicé cartulina blanca (Neenah Solar White de 80 libras) y uno de los sellos que vinieron con el kit. Como este sello simula un panel de miel, estampé esta imagen en toda la cartulina con la ayuda de un bloque acrílico o de metacrilato. Luego coloreé este fondo con los Rotuladores Copic, solo combinando tonos amarillos - Y02, Y08, Y19, Y38.
For embellishing the background, I also die cut some honeycombs with the die that came with the kit. I die cut this honeycomb on Hero Arts Mustard Premium Cardstock and Hero Arts Papaya Premium Cardstock. As I wanted also the borderline, I had to cut the outside with scissors. I used the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine to die cut this piece. I kept these pieces aside.
Para adornar el fondo, también troquelé algunos panales con el troquel que venía con el kit. Troquelé esta pieza, es decir, este panel de miel sobre cartulina amarilla y naranja (Hero Arts Mustard Cardstock y Hero Arts Papaya Premium Cardstock). Como quería solamente los panales, decidí recortar también el borde con unas tijeras. Utilicé la troqueladora Big Shot de Sizzix para troquelar esta pieza. Guardé estas piezas para más adelante.
Later, I stamped the images. I decided to stamp three bees but I also stamped a four-one in case I needed it. I inked the stamps with the Hero Arts Intense Black ink that is a Copic-friendly ink because when you color with these, the ink does not run. Besides, I used my Mini MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp all the bees. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies using the Sidekick die cutting machine mini. Then, I colored the images with Copic Markers - Y08, Y19, B000.
Más tarde, estampé las imágenes, decidí estampar tres abejas pero también estampé una cuarta en el caso de que la necesitara. Tinté los sellos con la tinta de Hero Arts Intense Black ink que es una tinta amiga de los rotuladores de alcohol ya que cuando coloreas con éstos, la tinta no se corre. Además, utilicé la Herramienta de Estampación Mini MISTI para estampar todas las abejas. Troquelé las imágenes con los troqueles coordinados utilizando la mini troqueladora Sidekick. Coloreé las imágenes con los Rotuladores Copic - Y08, Y19, B000.
For the sentiment, I stamped the phrase on a piece of HA Pitch Black Premium Cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Orange Embossing Powder. I cut this piece as a small flag.
Para la frase, estampé la frase en un trozo de cartulina negra (HA Pitch Black Premium Cardstock) con la tinta Versamark ink y repujé con polvos de embossing de color naranja (Ranger Orange Embossing Powder). Recorté la frase en forma de una bandera pequeña.
Later, I trimmed the sides of the background a little bit and glued on a HA Pitch Black Premium Cardstock on a standard side. I added the honeycombs that I previously die cut, I glued one with strong liquid glue and the other, I used the Xyron Disposable Sticker Maker and, for this last one, I also used a glue eraser to remove all the excessive adhesive. I must say that I prefer to glue these pieces with liquid glue because it seems cleaner. I added the bees and the sentiment with foam circles.
Más tarde, recorté los laterales del fondo un poco y lo pegué en una cartulina de tamaño estándar de color negro (HA Pitch Black Premium Cardstock). Añadí los panales troquelados, uno lo pegué utilizando un pegamento líquido fuerte y, para el otro, utilicé la máquina desechable de hacer pegatinas de Xyron, y para esta última, también utilicé una goma o borrador de pegamento para eliminar el adhesivo excedente. Debo decir que prefiero pegar estas piezas con pegamento líquido ya que parece un proceso más limpio. Añadí las abejas y la frase con adhesivos circulares de espuma.
For finishing touches, I added some shimmer to the honeycombs with the NUVO Shimmer pen - Midas Touch and filled some hexagons with NUVO Crystal drops - English Mustard, NUVO Jewel drops - Limoncello, Hero Arts Lacquer pens - yellow and honey (both included in the kits). The Hero Arts Lacquer pen honey is so cool because when it dries, it crackles itself!! Hero Arts should sell this product and, also, in different colors!
Para los adornos finales, añadí brillo a los panales troquelados con el NUVO Shimmer Pen - Midas Touch y rellené algunos hexágonos con los NUVO Crystal drops - English Mustard, NUVO Jewel drops - Limoncello, Hero Arts Lacquer Pens - amarillo y miel (ambos incluidos en los kits). El Lacquer Pen de Hero Arts de color miel queda muy bien porque cuando se seca, ¡ se crea una grietas y crea un efecto roto! ¡Hero Arts debería vender este producto y, también, en diferentes colores!
And that's the card! I must say that I didn't like the card at the beginning, but when I finished the card, I loved it so much! What do you think about this card? Do you like it?
