Hello there! It's me, Cha! How is your week going? I hope you are very well and stay safe! Today I wanted to show you some cards with fabric elements for backgrounds. For creating these fabric backgrounds, you could use a piece of fabric, decorative small cotton garlands, ribbons or whatever you can find in your stash. It was really fun to play with these backgrounds and I have more ideas to come because it makes a difference in your cards. I hope you like these cards!
¡Hola a todos! Soy Cha. ¿Qué tal va la semana? Espero que estén bien y mantenganse seguros. Hoy quise enseñarles algunas tarjetas con fondos con elementos de tela. Para crear estos fondos con tela,podrías utilizar tela, pequeñas guirnaldas, lazos o lo que sea que puedas encontrar entre tus materiales. Fue muy divertido jugar creango estos fondos y tengo más ideas para este tipo de tarjetas y la verdad es que las hacen diferentes. ¡Espero que les guste!
First, I used the die-cut piece that came from the My Monthly Hero kit from February 2020. I picked the cake that I die cut in different colored cardstock from Hero Arts Premium Cardstock - Peony, Azalea, Cherry, Papaya, Pumpkin, Canary, Mustard, Kiwi, Mist, Adriatic, Arctic, Lavender, Antique Ivory, Sand, Dove White, Pebble, Pitch Black. I also used some Specialty paper such as glitter cardstock that I had already in my stash. When I had all my pieces cut, I cut the parts of all the cakes with scissors. It took me some time to cut all the pieces but I also cut extra pieces because I did not know the colors for these cards at this point but I will keep the leftover pieces for future birthday cards.
Primero utilicé el troquel de tarta que venía con el kit de Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit del mes de Febrero 2020. Troquelé la tarta en diferentes colores de cartulina de la gama Hero Arts Premium Cardstock - Peony, Azalea, Cherry, Papaya, Pumpkin, Canary, Mustard, Kiwi, Mist, Adriatic, Arctic, Lavender, Antique Ivory, Sand, Dove White, Pebble, Pitch Black. También utilicé cartulina especial como cartulina con purpurina que ya tenía entre mis materiales. Cuando tuve todas las piezas troqueladas, recorté las partes de la tartas con unas tijeras. Me tomó algún tiempo en recortar parte por parte de cada tarta aunque también recorté partes extras ya que no sabía que colores iba a utilizar y así las que sobren las guardo para próximas tarjetas. 
I planned to create something different for the background. I picked some fabric elements from my stash, a garland and a piece of fabric with some colored circles on it. Instead of using liquid adhesive, I used Double Adhesive Paper to attach the fabric piece to the piece of Dove Cardstock. For the background with garlands, I just trimmed the panel down from the sides and wrapped the panel with the garland adding some tape behind the panel in order to hold it. I added each card on a standard white notecard.
Planifiqué en crear algo diferente en el fondo. Escogí algunos elementos de tela de mis materiales, unas guirnaldas pequeñas y un trozo de tela con algunos círculos de colorines. En vez de utilizar adhesivo líquido, decidí utilizar Papel Adhesivo de Doble Cara para pegar el trozo de tela sobre la Cartulina blanca (Dove Cardstock). Para el fondo con las guirnaldas, simplemente recorté los lados del panel y envolví el panel con las guirnaldas añadiendo cinta adhesiva en la parte trasera para sujetarlas. Monté los fondos en una tarjeta base blanca.
I assembled the parts from the main image of the cake in the middle of each card with some foam tape. I added some dimension to the cakes with NUVO Drops white, Hero Arts Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen, Hero Arts Yellow Lacquer Pen, Hero Arts Pink Lacquer Pen, and Hero Arts Turquoise Lacquer Pen. For some shine to the card, I added NUVO Aqua Shimmer Pen and NUVO Midas Touch Shimmer Pen.
Uní las partes de la imagen principal de la tarta en el medio de cada tarjeta con cinta adhesiva de espuma. Añadí relieve a las tartas con NUVO Drops Blanco, el Hero Arts Lacquer transparente, Hero Arts Lacquer amarillo, Hero Arts Lacquer rosa, and Hero Arts Lacquer turquesa. Para brillo, añadí a la imagen el NUVO Aqua Shimmer Pen y el NUVO Midas Touch Shimmer Pen que son rotuladores de agua con purpurina.
Finally, I created the sentiments. For one of the card, I stamped the sentiment on Hero Arts Sand Cardstock with Versamark ink after I had applied an Anti-Static Powder Tool. Then, I heat embossed with Ranger Orange Embossing Powder. For the other card, I just stamped the sentiment on Dove Cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Turquoise Embossing Powder. I cut myself around the sentiment and added to the cards with foam tape.
Finalmente, creé las frases. Para una de las tarjetas, estampé la frase en cartulina de Hero Arts color Sand con la tinta Versamark después de que hubiese añadido la Herramienta Antiestática de polvo. Luego repujé con Polvos de Embossing Naranja de Ranger. Para la otra tarjeta, estampé la frase en Cartulina Dove (blanca) con tinta Versamark y repujé con Polvos de Embossing de color turquesa de Ranger. Recorté las frases alrededor de las palabras y las añadí a cada una de las tarjetas con cinta adhesiva de espuma.
On one of the cards, I also added some white strips between the solid background and the piece of fabric.
En una de las tarjetas, también añadí unas tiras con cartulina blanca entre el fondo sólido y la pieza de tela.
I also created another card with a dark background. It is so beautiful how the bright colors from the cake stand out from the background.
También creé otra tarjeta con un fondo oscuro. Es muy bonita como los colores brillantes resaltan en ese fondo.
