Hello, crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a project made with the Spellbinders Glimmer Club for July 2025. If you’ve followed my previous posts, you’ll know I often recommend subscribing to at least two clubs. But this time, I wanted to show you how it’s entirely possible to create beautiful cards using just one club, allowing your creativity to take the lead. This is a perfect example of how much versatility and variety you can achieve with the Glimmer Club alone, without needing to add any extras. That said, I still believe that subscribing to two clubs gives you more flexibility and helps expand your design possibilities.

Hoy les traigo un proyecto realizado con el Club de Glimmer de Spellbinders correspondiente a julio de 2025. ¿Recuerdan que en publicaciones anteriores les he recomendado suscribirse a al menos dos clubes? Pues en esta ocasión, quiero mostrarles cómo es posible crear tarjetas preciosas usando únicamente un solo club, dejando que la imaginación sea la protagonista. Este ejemplo demuestra que con solo el Club de Glimmer se pueden crear infinitas combinaciones y estilos, sin necesidad de añadir otros sets. Aun así, sigo creyendo que suscribirse a dos clubes es lo ideal para tener más versatilidad y complementar mejor tus diseños.

About the Glimmer Club Subscription | Sobre la suscripción del Club de Glimmer

A quick reminder: the clubs for this month are available only until July 27. After that, the products will be sold individually starting August 10, though at a slightly higher price and with limited availability.

What’s Included in the Glimmer Club? | ¿Qué incluye el Club de Glimmer?

Each month, the club includes one foiling plate and one roll of foil, so you don’t need to purchase foil separately. If you subscribe for a full year, you’ll receive 12 unique foils—one with each kit. Personally, I think this is a fantastic feature Spellbinders has added.

Cada mes, el club incluye una placa y un rollo de foil, por lo que no necesitas adquirirlo por separado. Si te suscribes durante un año completo, recibirás 12 foils distintos que podrás usar durante todo el año. Personalmente, me parece un gran acierto por parte de Spellbinders.

This month’s foil is "Platinum" (a beautiful silver tone)—a super versatile color that works with nearly everything. And throughout this year, we’ve received other must-have foils like Aura, Prism, Opal, and more. Definitely one of the biggest perks of this club!

Este mes recibimos el foil en tono "Platinum" (plateado), un color muy versátil que combina con prácticamente todo. Además, este año hemos visto cómo mes a mes se han incluido colores súper útiles como Aura, Prism, Opal, entre otros. ¡Una verdadera ventaja del club!

Creative Process | Proceso creativo

For these cards, I used the Platinum foil with the Glimmer Hot Foil System to apply the main image from the set onto green and navy cardstock.

Para estas tarjetas, utilicé el foil "Platinum" con la máquina Glimmer Hot Foil System para aplicar la imagen central del set sobre cartulinas de color verde y azul náutico.

To clean up any small imperfections, I used a Mono eraser for ink, then ink-blended the edges with Distress Oxide inks using a soft makeup-style brush. I also added a bit of black ink around the edges for extra depth and contrast.

Después, corregí pequeñas imperfecciones con una goma Mono especial para tintas, y entinté los bordes usando tintas Distress Oxide aplicadas con un cepillo tipo brocha de maquillaje. Para dar aún más contraste, oscurecí ligeramente los bordes con tinta negra.


Sentiments with Glimmer and BetterPress | Frases con Glimmer y BetterPress

For the sentiments, I again used Platinum foil and the Glimmer machine, combining the sentiments from the Glimmer Club with a few from the BetterPress Club.

Para las frases, utilicé también el foil "Platinum", y combiné las frases incluidas en el Club de Glimmer con algunas de las que vienen en el Club de BetterPress.

Quick reminder: BetterPress plates can be used with the Glimmer system, but Glimmer plates are not compatible with BetterPress.

Recuerden: las placas de BetterPress sí pueden utilizarse con la Glimmer, pero las de Glimmer no son compatibles con BetterPress.

I foiled several sentiments on different colors of cardstock, then picked the ones that coordinated best with each background. Some of them didn’t stand out enough, so I added a thin white border to make them pop.

Preparé varias frases en diferentes colores de cartulina y seleccioné aquellas que mejor armonizaban con los fondos. Como algunas no resaltaban lo suficiente, les añadí un borde blanco fino para darles más presencia.

Final Touches | Detalles finales

To finish off the cards, I added some simple yet festive embellishments like silver pearls and snowflakes, giving the projects that charming holiday feel we all love.

Para terminar, añadí decoraciones sencillas pero efectivas, como esferas plateadas y copos de nieve, que le dieron ese toque festivo que tanto nos gusta en nuestras tarjetas navideñas.
