This June 2025 Glimmer Club features a beautiful Glimmer plate inspired by the sea. It's the perfect design to use at this time of year, don't you think?

There are many ways to create backgrounds for your cards. One option is to use the Glimmer System to make the background stand out from the rest of the card, especially if you want it to be the main focal point. You can achieve this by using hot foil rolls in a variety of colours. However, the Glimmer System can also be used in a completely different way.

Existen muchas maneras de crear fondos para sus tarjetas. Una de ellas es utilizar el sistema Glimmer para conseguir que el fondo destaque sobre el resto de los elementos de la tarjeta, especialmente si quieren que sea el protagonista del diseño, utilizando rollos de foil de distintos colores. Sin embargo, el sistema Glimmer también puede utilizarse de una forma completamente diferente.

For this card, I chose several shades of teal cardstock and foiled each one with Opal Hot Foil. Then, I trimmed them into equal strips using a paper trimmer for clean, precise cuts. Finally, I arranged the different colours onto a piece of white cardstock and glued them down to create a unique background.

Para esta tarjeta escogí cartulinas en distintos tonos de turquesa y apliqué foil ópalo sobre cada una de ellas. Después, las corté en tiras del mismo tamaño utilizando una guillotina para conseguir cortes limpios y precisos. Finalmente, combiné los distintos tonos sobre una cartulina blanca y los pegué para crear un fondo original.

To finish the card, I added a few die-cut pieces from the Small Die Club, along with a sentiment I already had in my stash. And just like that, the card was finished!

Para terminar la tarjeta, añadí varias piezas troqueladas del Club de Troquel Pequeño, junto con un sentimiento que ya tenía entre mis materiales. ¡Y la tarjeta quedó terminada!
