I must say that I tried to be clean and simple but arty cards have always been my first choice since I started cardmaking. I do not know how to be clean and simple, so I decided to create an arty card but in a simple way. You can create this card in 10 minutes! You do not have to use the same supplies, decide your stamps and the colors that you would like to use, and let's started! ¡Hola a todos! Soy Cha. Hoy es 15 de septiembre y comenzamos un nuevo reto en el blog A Blog Named Hero. ¡Que emoción! ¡Este reto es sobre Tarjetas Simples y Sencillas! Debo decir que intenté ser sencilla y simple pero las tarjetas más trabajosas siempre han sido mi primera elección desde que comencé en tarjetería. No sé como ser sencilla y simple, así que decidí crear una tarjeta algo trabajosa pero de una manera sencillita. ¡Puedes hacer esta tarjeta en 10 minutos! No tienes por qué crear la misma tarjeta, decide tus sellos y los colores que te gustarian utilizar, y ¡comencémos! For this card, I decided to use some past kits from Hero Arts. These kits are discontinued but you can see your stash to use some other stamps that you may have. So, these kits that I used for today's card are the My Monthly Hero Kit September 2018 and the My Monthly Hero kit September 2017 which both kits have the same theme, the fall season.
Para esta tarjeta decidí utilizar algunos pasados kits de Hero Arts. Estos kits ya no están disponibles pero puedes mirar entre tus materiales y utilizar otros sellos que ya tengas. Así que los kits que utilicé para la tarjeta de hoy son el kit My Monthly Hero de Septiembre 2018 y el kit My Monthly Hero de Septiembre 2017 que son kits que tienen la misma temática, el otoño.
First, I picked a 4,25 by 5,5-inch Hero Arts Canary Premium Cardstock piece (soft yellow cardstock). I decided to use the Chinese lantern plant from the My Monthly Hero kit September 2018 to stamp it all over this piece of cardstock repeatedly with Hero Arts Caramel Bold Ink. For all my stamping, I used an acrylic block. Then, I picked the small circle stamp that also came with this kit, and stamped it all over the same piece but among the plants that I'd stamped earlier. I used Hero Arts Butter Bar Shadow ink to stamp these circles. Also, on top of these circles, I stamped a leaf that came with the My Monthly Hero Kit September 2017 with Hero Arts Soft Brown Shadow ink. Later, I colored the lantern plant with the same brown tones using Copic Markers. I colored all the leaves and flowers with E31 and then, I colored just the top and the bottom of every leaf and flower with E33 to give more contrast. I trimmed the sides a little bit and added on top of a piece of Hero Arts Sand Premium Cardstock with some tape. Finally, I added some shimmer to the images with the NUVO shimmer pen Midas Touch.
Primero elegí cartulina amarilla (Hero Arts Canary Premium Cardstock) de medidas 4,25 por 5,5 pulgadas. Decidí utilizar la imagen de la planta linterna china o alquequenje que vino con el kit My Monthly Hero de Septiembre 2018 y la estampé en toda la cartulina repetidamente con la tinta Hero Arts Caramel Bold Ink. Para estampar todas las imágenes, utilicé un bloque de metacrilato (o acrílico). Luego escogí una imagen que venía con un circulo pequeño que venía también con el mismo kit, lo estampé sobre la misma cartulina repetidamente pero entre las plantas que había estampado anteriormente. Utilicé la tinta de Hero Arts Butter Bar Shadow ink para estampar estos círculos. También, sobre estos círculos amarillos, estampé una hoja que venía con el kit My Monthly Hero de Septiembre 2017 con la tinta de Hero Arts Soft Brown Shadow ink. Más tarde coloreé la planta linterna china en las misma tonalidades marrones utilizando los rotuladores Copic. Coloreé todas las hojas y las flores con el color E31 y luego coloreé solo la parte superior y la parte inferior de cada hoja y flor con el color E33 para dar más contraste. Recorté los laterales de la tarjeta un poco y añadí el fondo que creé sobre un trozo de cartulina marrón (Hero Arts Sand Premium Cardstock) de la misma medida utilizando cinta adhesiva. Finalmente añadí algo de brillo dorado a las imágenes con el NUVO shimmer pen Midas Touch.
For the sentiment, I also picked a piece of Hero Arts Sand Premium Cardstock and stamped the sentiment and small bee from the My Monthly Hero kit September 2017. I used the Mini MISTI Stamping tool to stamp the sentiment twice. I added an anti-static powder tool before stamping both, the sentiment and the bee with Versamark ink. Then, I added some Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder and dried the piece with a heat tool. Later, I die cut the sentiment with a circle die from the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies. I added the sentiment on top of the background that we had created with some adhesive foam circles.
Para la frase, elegí un trozo de la misma cartulina marrón (Hero Arts Sand Premium Cardstock) y estampé la frase y una pequeña abeja que venían en el kit My Monthly Hero Septiembre 2017. Utilicé la Herramienta de Estampación Mini MISTI para estampar la frase varias veces y conseguir una frase más definida. Apliqué la herramienta antiestática para polvo antes de estampar ambas, la frase y la abeja con la tinta Versamark ink. Luego añadí los Polvos de Embossing Gold Glitter (con purpurina dorada) de Hero Arts y lo sequé utilizando la herramienta de embossing o calor. Después, troquelé la frase con un troquel circular del set de troqueles Nesting Circle Infinity Dies de Hero Arts. Añadí la frase sobre el fondo que había creado anteriormente con círculos adhesivos de espuma.
To finish this card, I added the background to a Hero Arts Dove Folded Card and added a gold embellishment underneath the sentiment. This embellishment came with the My Monthly Hero kit September 2017. As I said before, these kits are not available anymore but you can pick some other stamps that you have in your stash to create a card like this.
Para terminar esta tarjeta, añadí el fondo a una base de tarjeta blanca de Hero Arts y añadí un adorno dorado debajo de la frase. Este adorno vino con el kit My Monthly Hero kit de Septiembre 2017. Como dije anteriormente, estos kits no están disponibles pero pueden utilizar sellos que ya tengan para crear una tarjeta como esta.
