[Product links are at bottom of this post | Los enlaces de los productos se encuentran al final de la publicación]

Hello there! It's me, Cha! This time I'm going to show a card that I made for a little girl. For creating this card, I used simple techniques, so, if you are new in card making, probably you can try these all techniques! Also, I will give some tips (from my experience). Do you want to stay here a little while? Let's start creating!

¡Hola a todos! ¡Soy Cha! ¡Empezamos!

For this card, I used an old stamp set from Simon Says Stamp - Secret garden. I only used the fairy for this card. To get a more well-defined image, I used the Travel Stamp Platform by Tim Holtz. This stamp platform allows you to stamp the same image several times at the same place without worrying if the image is going to move. So, I stamped this little fairy on a piece of white cardstock using Hero Arts INTENSE black ink several times.

Next, I made simple coloring using my alcohol markers - Promarkers and Brushmarkers from Winsor & Newton, but you can use the ones that you have in your stash. For my coloring, I just started with the light color, then I moved to the darker color and blended them in the middle very well. I didn't do anything professional because I'm not an expert although... I would love to!. When I finished my coloring, I decided to cut my image just right the edges with some precise scissors and too much patience.

For the background, I died cut a piece of white cardstock using the second die from the Hero Arts Rectangle Infinity Dies. For my die cutting, I used my Big Shot machine. Let's color the background! I used some Distress Oxide ink. First, I colored the top of my background with picked raspberry first and using an ink blending tool. Second, I blended worn lipstick in the middle and, finally, I used squeeze lemonade. I blended the colors very well. I sprayed some water to create some white splashes on the background and also, I wanted to add some shimmer. So, I sprayed some Perfect Pearls Mists and I left aside to dry. TIP: You don't need to acquire a Perfect Pearls Mist bottle if you have already the original Perfect Pearls (powder). Just mixed some Perfect Pearls in a spray bottle with some water and shake it very well and... that's it! You have a Perfect Pearls mist spray!.

At this point, I decided to give some acetate details to the image of the fairy. So, I cut off the wings of this little fairy first. Then, I added my powder tool to the piece of acetate and stamped the fairy image again but using versmark ink. Later, I added some white embossing powder. I realized that the powder is in everywhere on the acetate piece when adding the powder, the only thing we can do is to tap a little bit on the back of the acetate. Thanks to the use of the powder tool, the powders are off from the acetate. For this reason, it is important to use the powder tool, if you didn't use this tool, the powders wouldn't fall off from the acetate. The process of heat embossing a piece of acetate may be complicated when not using heat acetate. Basically, heat acetate is a piece of acetate that can be used with heat embossing. However, you can also heat emboss a simple piece of acetate although it takes a little bit of time. TIP: Just our heat tool needs to be very hot and then, we can start to burn the powder from the acetate but not at all once. I mean that just one second burning the powder, and then, remove the heat tool from the acetate, shake the acetate, then again, burn the powder a second and remove from the acetate and shake a little the acetate and so on until all the powder is dry. In fact, it's a very slow process but if you heat all the image at once, the acetate would crumple and you have to start again. I don't know how heat acetate works but for me, this works really well if you are patient.

When I finished heat embossing the acetate, I cut right the edges of the wings, not all the image just the top of my image. Then, I adhered this piece of acetate to the back of the image and we can see how the fairy has transparent wings. However, I wanted the wings to be a little bit of white, so I inked them with some white pigment ink on the back and I let it dry a little bit.

I adhered a vertical wide strip of vellum to the center of the background panel. Then, I attached the piece on the center of a 5.5" by 4.25" white notecard with some foam tape and leaving some a white strip around as a border. I added the little fairy in the middle of the vellum piece and the colored background with some foam tape on the back and in the narrow areas (magic wand), I added some small dots of glossy accents

As I was going to give this card to a Spanish little girl, I need some Spanish sentiment but I didn't like the ones that I have in my stash, so I just added the sentiment with gold alphabet stickers - Feliz día ("happy day") and using the Tim Holtz design ruler to make the letters be straight.

For final touches, I added some shimmer to the fairy with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen. I also added some dots of glossy accents here and there. Finally, I added some inexpensive gold star sequins. What's more, I'm in love with the Marvy Jewel Picker and the Tim Holtz Craft Pick because these tools help to place the sequins easily.

This is the result of this card.
