Hello there! It's me, Cha! This time I used a tree stencil to create a beautiful scene using alcohol inks from Ranger. The good thing about these inks is that you don't need to have all the colors because you can mix them up to get new colors that you need! For creating this card, first I colored the background using alcohol inks. I used Yupo paper which works very well with alcohol inks. I wanted to create a scene with the sky and some grass at the bottom. So, I used an ink blending tool with the felt to mix the blending solution with the color turquoise. I colored with this color the sky and then, I moved on to the next color. For coloring the bottom of my card, I went with limeade alcohol ink.
Para crear esta tarjeta, primero coloreé el fondo utilizando las tintas de alcohol. Utilicé el papel Yupo que funciona muy bien con las tintas de alcohol. Quise crear una escena con el cielo en la parte superior y el césped en la parte inferior. Así que cogí la herramienta para mezclar las tintas con el fieltro para mezclar el color turquesa (turquoise) con el mezclador incoloro (blending solution). Coloreé con este color el cielo, y entonces, continueé con el otro color. Para colorear la parte inferior de mi tarjeta, escogí la tinta de alcohol llamada limeade.
I don't have too many colors of this product but I think I have enough to get more colors! So, I have two sets - spring break (valencia, limeade, turquoise) and key west (dandelion, coral, pistachio). I also have one bottle of mixative - gold and the blending solution.

I used the tree stencil as a guide for coloring. I attached the stencil over my panel with some carpenter's tape (or masking tape) and started coloring with the alcohol inks using a small brush. As you can see, I don't have any brown color from alcohol inks, so I mixed turquoise with valencia to get brown. With this color, I started coloring the branches and the trunk of the tree with a small brush. Then, I colored some branches with pistachio and limeade colors. Here, I didn't do anything fancy because I was going to cover up in order to get more leaves. I also added some touches with gold mixative on the trunk. So, I used an ink blending tool to mix green colors, limeade, pistachio and blending solution. I started pushing on the branches over and over again until I was satisfied. As a result, I got a beautiful tree.

Utilicé el stencil o máscara con un árbol como guía para colorear. Lo puse sobre el panel de mi tarjeta adherida con cinta de carrocero o carpintero y comencé a colorearlo con las tintas de alcohol y utilizando un pincel pequeño. Como pueden ver, no tengo un color marrón de las tintas de alcohol, así que, para obtener dicho color, mezclé el color turquesa con el color valencia que es un tono anaranjado. Con este color, comencé a colorear las ramas y el tronco del árbol con el pincel pequeño. Más tarde coloreé algunas ramas con las tintas de alcohol de tono verde - pistachio y limeade. No quedó muy bien en la parte de las ramas pero no me importó porque iba a cubrirlo para crear más hojas más tarde. Al tronco, también le añadí algunos toques con el color mixative de oro (gold mixative). Con la herramienta para mezclar colores y su fieltro, añadí algunas gotitas de pistachio y limeade, y, también el blending solution. Comencé a presionar la herramienta sobre la cartulina, en la parte de las ramas de los árboles, ligeramente, y en toda esa área hasta curbrir todas las ramas. El resultado fue conseguir un bonito árbol verde.
For my sentiment, I decided to add some white shadow. So, I stamped the sentiment with archival ink - potting soil. Once I stamped it, I rubbed off the ink with a cloth. I repeatedly did the same thing several times until I got a white sentiment over the inky surface. Then, I stamped the sentiment again over that white sentiment using stazon - jet black. I also stamped a dog next to the tree with the same ink, stazon jet black.
Para la frase de la tarjeta, decidí añadir una sombra blanca. Para ello, estampé la frase con tinta archival ink - potting soil. Una vez estampada, la restregué con un trapo para que quedara esa área de color blanco pero, con algo de color. Estampé y froté la frase, repetidamente, y varias veces. Finalmente, estampé la frase sobre esa parte de color blanquecina, pero, esta vez utilizando la tinta stazon - jet black. También, estampé un perrito al lado del árbol con la misma tinta (stazon - jet black).
For mounting my card, I cut the panel a little bit smaller than the white notecard. I usually use the Rectangle Infinity Dies from Hero Arts (the second largest) and my die cutting machine - Big Shot. Finally, I added the panel with some foam tape onto the notecard to give some dimension to the card.
Para montar el panel a su base, corté el panel un poco más pequeño que la base para la tarjeta de color blanco. Para cortar este panel, suelo utilizar el segundo más largo de rectángulos del set de troqueles Infinity Dies de Hero Arts, y también, utilizo la troqueladora manual de la Big Shot. Finalmente, adherí el panel a la base con adhesivo de espuma para dar algo de dimensión a la tarjeta.
For final touches, I decided to cut a small heart and added to the card with some foam tape. I colored this little heart with copic ciao RV29 and added some glitter with my nuvo shimmer pen. I filled the heart with some glossy accents. Finally, I added some nuvo jewel drops - strawberry coulis here and there.
Para los toques finales, decidí cortar un pequeño corazón para la tarjeta y la pegué con adhesivo de espuma. Coloreé este pequeño corazón con el rotulador copic ciao RV29 y añadí algo de purpurina con el nuvo shimmer pen. Rellené el corazón con el glossy accents. Finalmente, añadí algunos puntos de dimensión aquí y allí con el nuvo jewel drops - strawberry coulis.
